Jacques Olivar

I really like this work by Jacques Olivar. His work shows clear juxtapositioning with the involvement of placing the foreground and background within the same frame instead of next to each other. I like how even though the two aspects of the images are not that dramatically different the juxta positiing can still be seen. I feel the inclusion of the two aspects of the photo being placed in one frame allows the images to work off one another giving strength to one and not the other, which in turn creates a stronger set of images.

This is something which i would like to experiment with within my own work. Although i feel that i would want a much more stronger and clearer divide between the theme of the background and the foreground symbolizing how lost and incompatible the other becomes when placed within the alien surroundings of the other.
